How Old is Your Wrestler?
Freestyle/Greco-Roman
USAW FULL ATHLETE MEMBERSHIP REQUIRED
Freestyle and Greco-Roman are the fastest ways to accelerate folkstyle development. These styles build better takedowns, finishes, movement, balance, and mat awareness; all skills that directly carry over to folkstyle competition.
Wrestlers who train Freestyle and Greco-Roman return to folkstyle more aggressive, more confident, and more technical, especially in neutral and scramble situations. Wrestling in Freestyle & Greco-Roman styles are one of the most effective ways to improve overall folkstyle performance.
Freestyle & Greco-Roman Practices: Mondays & Wednesdays
8-11 Year Olds: 5:30-7pm
12 Years Old & Up: 7-8:30pm

Spring Fundamentals
Master essential techniques!
USAW LIMITED FOLKSTYLE ATHLETE MEMBERSHIP REQUIRED
(ALL 5-7 year old wrestlers. Wrestlers 8 years old & up with 0-2 Years of experience)
Wrestlers learn a limited core set of techniques from each position, while also developing the skills required to train in a structured wrestling environment. This includes: listening and following instructions; drilling with purpose and focus; partner awareness and cooperation; & proper execution of techniques with attention to detail.
Practices: Tuesdays & Thursdays
5-7 year olds: 5:30-6:30pm
8-11 year olds: 6:30-7:30pm
12 years old & up: 7:30-8:30pm

Fundamentals practices are designed to build progressively on each session, so we do not offer drop-in memberships for this program.
Fundamentals is a more structured, faster-paced practice that focuses on learning technique, drilling, and controlled live wrestling. If your 5-year old is emotionally ready to follow instructions for longer periods, transition quickly between activities, and participate in a structured practice environment, Fundamentals may be the right fit. If your 5-year old still benefits more from games, movement-based activities, and a less structured pace, Mini-Mavericks may be a better option. If you are unsure where to register your 5-year-old wrestler, please don’t hesitate to reach out and we will help guide you.

Spring Mini-Mavericks
Perfect for young wrestlers!
USAW LIMITED FOLKSTYLE ATHLETE MEMBERSHIP REQUIRED
Learn wrestling through games & activities. Open to 4 to 5 year old wrestlers that are new to wrestling.
Practices: Sun 10-11am
Price: $125.00
Mini-Mavericks is designed to be more game-based and activity-driven, with an emphasis on fun, movement, and learning basic wrestling concepts in a lower-pressure environment. If your 5-year old is newer to wrestling, still developing focus, or not quite ready for a fast-paced, structured practice, Mini-Mavericks is likely the best fit.
If your 5-year old is emotionally ready for a more structured and faster-paced class with greater emphasis on technique and drilling, you may want to consider registering for Fundamentals instead. If you are unsure where to register your 5-year-old wrestler, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
